Cris Wong, RHU, ChHC

Cris brings over 20 years of consultative and account management experience to Sentinel in his role as Client Executive. Originally from Ecuador, Cris was raised in New York. He is fluent in Spanish and served as a Court Interpreter before beginning his career in the insurance industry.

After working for HIP/Vytra Health Plans in New York and United Healthcare of Arizona, Cris and his family relocated to North Carolina in 2006. Previously, as an Account Executive with the MMIC Agency, a subsidiary of Medical Mutual Insurance Company, Cris served as the new business consultant of the NCMS Employee Benefit Plan.

Cris is known for his “think outside of the box” approach to healthcare strategies. He is always looking for ways to add value to his client’s health programs while controlling cost. 

In his spare time, Cris enjoys traveling, cooking international dishes for his friends, dancing Salsa at a local club, singing karaoke, cycling on Raleigh’s green ways and walking his Havanese pup, Ernie Hemingway.
