Sentinel recently partnered with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle to move, lay, and spread mulch on their farm. This not only helps suppress weeds, but also improves soil health! Our team worked together using pitchforks, wheelbarrows, and rakes. Mulching also makes it easier to harvest the crops in 4-6 weeks!
As a Feeding America Food Bank, the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle recovers and distributes food to our low-income neighbors. They also provide programs designed to empower people with skills to meet their own food needs through culinary job training, beginner gardening, and cooking healthy on a budget. The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle feeds, teaches, and grows to create a hunger-free and healthy community.
