Steve Kite, PE

Steve provides consultative guidance in designing custom transportation and general risk consulting service plans as Director of Transportation Risk within Sentinel’s Risk Performance Group.  His focus is aimed at reducing accidents and improving risk profiles through data collection, analysis, effective training, inspections, audits, employee orientation, job hazard analysis development, telematic reviews, and guidance in regulatory interpretation for Sentinel’s clients.

Armed with 30 years of work zone traffic control experience with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), Steve supervised projects supporting highway capacity improvement and pavement reconstruction/preservation while overseeing the operations and consultant contracting for the Work Zone Traffic Control Section. Outside of the NCDOT, Steve has served as a Work Zone Certification Trainer and as a government relations representative for pavement markings and adhesives business.

The Greenville, NC native is the proud father of two adult daughters.  He enjoys both international and domestic travel, citing the breathtaking views of Zion National Park in Utah as one of his favorite adventures.
