A Joyful Reminder This Holiday Season

As the calendar gladly turns to 2021, we should all take a moment to reflect on the past 12 months.  2020 has certainly presented its share of challenges and radically altered life as we know it —medically, culturally, politically, and financially–throughout the world.  It is still unknown where the effects of the cumulative events of 2020 will lead, but for now we have all embraced the “new normal”.

From an economic standpoint, our industry has been led to re-evaluate all facets of risk.  The property and casualty insurance market remains in flux as we enter 2021, plagued with uncertainty from the past year.

But what has not changed is the significance of relationships.

We cherish and appreciate the relationships we have been so fortunate to cultivate over the years.  The bonds of trust that have been solidified during this time of distress.  Lending support to legacy businesses during industry transition.  Providing comfort to friends faced with corona-virus medical complications. Developing solutions to ease immediate financial hardships.

These relationships with our valued clients, partners, and employees are truly the foundation of Sentinel Risk Advisors.

Still there is a lot to be grateful for: Technology that allowed most to migrate to working from home, advancements in medicine that offer hope for a vaccination in early 2021, the increased time many of us were able to spend with family, and the return of overall human kindness.

What has genuinely impressed me this year is not only the passion that drives our talented team to provide a high level of service to our clients, but the compassion that they demonstrate in our local communities.  Each year, every employee is awarded 40 hours of paid community service leave which may be used for volunteer participation in programs, services, and organizations during regular business hours.  The results of their efforts, especially during these difficult times, is heartwarming to experience and further demonstrates our commitment to the communities in which we work and live.

It is a reminder of who we are, who we serve and what we can all be together.

On behalf of our entire firm, I wish everyone a happy holiday season and prosperous new year!
