Our Triad office had a sweat-filled but rewarding morning volunteering with New Arrivals Institute (NAI) at Peace United Church in Greensboro, NC. Our team spent the morning preparing planter beds for the upcoming garden season. We were able to hear how NAI assists refugees and immigrants with self-sufficiency and US Citizenship through education.
The Refugee New Arrival School was developed in the late 1990’s to meet the needs of refugees living in Guilford County. NAI provides a variety of services that includes English Language Training, cultural orientation, health literacy, and more.
