Marketing and Communications Manager

As Marketing and Communications Manager, Jerry Peters is charged with elevating the firm’s value proposition to achieve new business success, inspire client and team member loyalty and engaging a network to invest in Sentinel’s mission and vision across an integrated multimedia platform.

Jerry oversees Sentinel’s comprehensive scope of crisis communication services, which includes assessing a business’s reputational vulnerabilities, building plans and protocols to prevent a crisis from occurring, containing simmering threats before they reach crisis level, and managing an effective response should a threat become reality.

Jerry brings a wealth of experience in branding having served as Vice President of Brand Advancement for Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina.  During his tenure, the local nonprofit annually granted an average of 200 life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

The Havelock, NC native began his career in sports marketing, working in the media relations departments for the Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League.  Jerry continues his association with the league where he is a member of the PNC Arena Off-Ice Officials staff, responsible for the enforcement and administration of the NHL’s Commercial Coordination Policy during Carolina Hurricanes’ home games.
